Obituary for Leon Campell Sproull

Leon Campell Sproull was born 4/2/44 and died on 10/15/21
Leon passed peacefully from this surrounded by loved ones.

Leon spent the majority of his working life as an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed meeting people all over the country. Even keeping in touch with some decades later. He left Penske trucking and settled into retirement. But before long he became bored. He decided that he needed to go back to work. He then joined the Hollywood Casino family. He worked there in the security department for the remainder of his life. He loved his job there and mainly loved the people that he worked with.

Leon was a very social man and never knew a stranger. Socially active at work and in his neighborhood. Mostly he loved his family. Always so proud of the family that he had throughout his life from coast to coast. And the family that he chose to make a life with in Kansas City. He adored his 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to see them.

Also, he was an avid sports fan. Rarely missing a Royals or Chiefs game. There will now be a void at the family Chiefs watch parties where Leon would have been.

He had a long, happy and colorful life. We invite those who knew him to leave a story, picture, comment, etc.

He was a blessing to those most close to his heart. Losing him has broken ours and he will be forever loved and forever missed.
