Landon Michael Smith "Rope", 27, of Edwardsville, KS passed away on Friday, Sept 14, 2018. Visitation will be from 10am to 1pm, and Funeral will be at 1pm, both on Sat., Sept. 22, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to assist with funeral expenses in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home 214 Oak St. Bonner Springs, KS 66012. Landon was born on Feb. 27, 1991 in Kansas City, KS and was a lifelong resident of Edwardsville, KS. He was a graduate of Bonner Springs High School in 2010 and had been a long time member of 4-H and the Christian Youth Rodeo Association and more recently had been involved in his passion "Team Roping" with his partner Bugs Henson. He loved spending time with his friends and never met a "stranger". He always put a smile on everyone's face and had an "infectious" smile of his own. He loved spending time with his Dad Darrell Mead and his Grandpa David Smith. He is survived by his mother Sonya Smith and Darrell Mead and one brother Laine Smith-Stimach all of the home. His maternal grandparents David and Terry Smith of Tonganoxie, KS. One aunt Jennifer Smith and her children Mallorie (Knight)Zule and her husband Corey of Tonganoxie, KS; McKensie (Knight)Stone and her husband Tucker and their son Owen all of Atchison, KS and Mitchell Knight of Tonganoxie, KS. And one uncle Clint Smith of Tonganoxie, KS. Three step-sisters Brooke Stimach and her two children Dayten and Presley; Courtney Mead; and Paige Mead and Ethan Zeller and their daughters Paislee and Elaina. One step-brother Dillon Mead and his wife Allison and their daughter River. As well as the Yeager family, other family and friends that will miss him greatly.
