Obituary for Kenneth Eugene "Kenny" Scott

Kenneth Eugene Scott, 83, of Piper, KS passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Family and friends may call at the visitation from 10 to 11:30 AM, Saturday, October 1, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. Graveside services will follow at 12 noon, Saturday, October 1 at the Bonner Springs Cemetery. Kenny was born on March 30, 1939 in Piper, KS and was a lifelong area resident. He was a retired auto worker, working for over 30 years at the GM Fairfax assembly plant. Kenny was an avid “car” guy; his passion was rebuilding 1940 Fords. He had won many awards at Car Shows and was a member of the National Street Rod Association.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Marjorie Englehart and Rosamond Lyons, two brothers Donald Scott and Neal Scott and one son Alan Scott. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Evelyn “Sue” Scott of the home, one son Brian Scott and his wife Loretta of De Soto, KS; three daughters Brenda Scott and her husband Bob Armentrout of Kansas City, KS; Lori Goode and her husband Tim of Kansas City, KS, Kim Baptist and her husband Greg of Kansas City, KS. and one sister, Darlene Nelson of Peoria, Ill., 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Kenny was a very down to earth kind of guy and would have greatly appreciated if everyone dressed casually or perhaps wore their favorite car or hotrod T-shirt to his services.
