Kenneth Eugene Lawrence Sr, 75 of Highlandville, Missouri, left to be with the Lord on March 6, 2022 surrounded by his family at home. Kenny was born the son of Merle and Mildred (Foley) on November 10, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri. Later moving, Kenny grew up in Bonner Springs where he was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Kenny drove a truck all his life, owning and operating KC Trucking until his retirement. Kenny enjoyed drag racing; taking home prizes and trophies, fishing for white bass and spoonbill and making moonshine.
Kenny is preceded in death by his father, Merle Lawrence; sister, Betty Cline; and a brother, Gary Lawrence.
Kenny is survived by his mother, Mildred Lawrence of Bonner Springs, KS; fiancé, Carol Lawrence of the home; daughter, Sherri (Vince) Herndon of Reeds Spring, MO; son, Kenneth Lawrence Jr of Grove, OK; son; Kevin (Cybil) Lawrence of Linwood, KS; son, Steven Lawrence of McClouth, KS; sister, Sharon Brandon of Fort Worth, TX; brother, Michael Lawrence of Battleground, IN; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one Godson; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends that love him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Harrington Family Event Center Saturday, March 26, 2022, 12:30 - 3:30 pm located at 218 Oak Street, Bonner Springs, Kansas 66012.
