Obituary for Keith Clark

Keith Clark, 59, Born to Carroll C Clark (deceased) and Juanita Clark on July 9, 1962: The Lord chose to bring him to his heavenly home on March 6, 2022. He leaves behind his wife, Cindy Burbank, Omaha Nebraska, his mother, Juanita Clark of Bonner Springs, Kansas: sons Michael McMillan (Kaylyn) Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Robert McMillan (Tiffany) Omaha, Nebraska, and Caelen Burbank: brothers James Clark of Gilbert, Arizona; Chris Clark, Bonner Springs, Kansas, Craig Clark (Partner-Concha Picazo), Bonner Springs Kansas, and Kyle Clark (Shelly) Spring Hill, Kansas, 3 sisters Kelly Stevenson (James) of Kincaid, KS, Carol Day (Partner, John Hensley) of Independence, MO and Carrie Milkanin (John) of Canton, OH and a multitude of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. All who knew him, loved him.
Keith made friends everywhere he went—as a team player in wrestling, baseball and football, playing frisbee at the park, working at Worlds of Fun, and Red Lobster during his youth. As a young man he enjoyed The Ozarks: waterskiing, fishing, kayaking, four wheeling, and photography.
After High School, Keith took ownership of a local sandwich shop while attending the Johnson County community College. The Checkerboard Deli became a local favorite for many residents and still today holds fond memories for those who dined there. As the years moved on, Keith found that he wished to follow the footsteps of his father, Cory Clark and began his career with the Union Pacific railroad as a Brakeman, Switchman, Hosteler and ultimately an Engineer: Beginning in Kansas City but eventually relocating to Omaha Nebraska and raising his family there. He was proud to be chosen for the role of father and mentor to James and Robert McMillan with his former wife Joanna (McMillan) Clark. Raising the boys became the highlight of his life and one of his most treasured accomplishments. They enjoyed camping, taking scenic vacations and just hanging at home with Keiths home version of a complete workout facility.
His love of travel continued over the last decade as he spent time traveling with his wife Cindy to Vietnam and other exotic locations fulfilling some of his dreams to travel abroad.
