KAY SCHIERBAUM
Nettie Kay Schierbaum, 68, of Edwardsville, KS passed away Wednesday, April 10th, 2019 at her home. Visitation 6 to 8 pm, Sunday, April 14th and Funeral 11 am, Monday, April 15th, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. burial to follow in the Edwardsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice (Those can be mailed or dropped off at the funeral home)
Kay was born on August 24, 1950 in Kansas City, Kansas and grew up in the Bonner Springs & Edwardsville area, graduating from Bonner Springs High School in 1968. While working at Stan’s Grocery Store she met a young man named Doran Schierbaum. They married on April 18, 1968 and together they made their home in the Bonner Springs & Edwardsville area, where they raised their children.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents: Warren & Madeline (Owens) Passler, Sr. and one grandson: John Dean, Jr.
Survivors include her husband Doran Schierbaum of the home. Three children: Kathy Dean and her husband John, D.L. Schierbaum and his wife Ana, all of Edwardsville, KS., Darla Tatum and her husband Tom of San Ramon, California. Grandchildren: Zachary and wife Brenna, Lacey, Dominic, Gavin and one due in July. Great Grandchildren: Braelyn and Zachary Jameson. One brother Warren Passler, Jr. of Bonner Springs, KS.
