Karen Paula McCollum, 78, of Linwood, KS, went home to be with the Lord on June 12, 2019. Visitation will be 10 a.m. and Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m., both on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to American Red Cross Memo: "Linwood Tornado Victims".
Karen, was the daughter of Edward Byron Jappert and Mildred Marie Gram. She was born on August 26, 1940, in Bell, California. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Francis Dean McCollum, and brother Donald Jappert. She is survived by her sister, Jan Bullard, and her five children (and respective spouses), Larry Dean McCollum, Darrin “Cub” Francis McCollum, Dena McCollum Duffin (Mark), Darrell Dwayne McCollum (Dawnyel), Derek Lee McCollum (Janelle), her nine grandchildren, Cassandra Corrine McCollum-Stites (Chris), Lance Skylar McCollum, Jesse Dwayne McCollum, Darrin Francis McCollum, Jr., Dylan Jarrett McCollum, McKenzie Anne Baker, Kobee Kendall Duffin, Lauren Christine McCollum, Presley Diane McCollum, and one great-grandson, Christopher Dwayne Stites.
