Obituary for June Ann Walta-Trower
June Ann Walta-Trower, age 65, of Tonganoxie, Kansas passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 while surrounded by her loving family after a six year battle with Breast Cancer. There will be a Memorial Gathering from 2-4:30pm, on Saturday March 19th at the Harrington Family Event Center, 218 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS. 66012.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the University of Kansas Cancer Center.
June was born on July 1, 1956 in Chanute, Kansas and was one of three children born to Ed & Shirley (Ware) Walta. During the majority of her childhood she grew up in Basehor and graduated from Basehor High School in the Class of 1974. June loved spending time with family and especially her granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her father Ed Walta.
Survivors include her husband Dave Trower of the home, one son Travis Trower and wife Becky of Basehor, KS., three granddaughters Katey, Madyson & Jenna Trower, one great-granddaughter Tatum Geouge, mother Shirley Walta of Bonner Springs, KS., brother Steve Walta of Tonganoxie, sister Sheila Metzger and husband Doug of Basehor, as well as many close friends and extended family.
