Obituary for Joshua Owen Larrabee

Joshua Owen “Josh” Larrabee, age 30, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024. A Celebration of his Life will be Saturday, April 20th at 6 pm, with a reception to follow, both at the Living Stone Family Worship Center, 2411 Steele Rd. Kansas City, KS. 66106. Interment to follow at a later date in the Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Josh was born on June 18, 1993, in Kansas City, Missouri to Owen Larrabee, Jr. and Charlotte Harris. He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and Shawnee, and graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in the Class of 2012. After graduation he enlisted in the US Marine Corps, serving five years at Twentynine Palms in California. Later he also served in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. Josh was a true Patriot and loved serving his country in the Marines and Army. After the Military he spent every minute he could with his children, who he loved very much. Recently he was working as a Mechanic at Tyson Foods in Kansas City, KS. Josh was always an advocate for the underdog and was someone that others found easy to talk to.

He was preceded in death by his godfather Norman Baker.

Survivors include his two children: Lucas & Eve and their mother Shyanne. His mother Charlotte Harris and husband Eddie of the home, father Owen Larrabee, Jr. of Kansas City, KS., brother Bobby Holmes of Olathe, KS., Godmother Kay Baker of Kansas City, KS., and a host of extended family and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
