Johnny was born on May 10, 1942 in Murray, Arkansas as one of nine children born to Claude “Les” & Walsie Hylton. As a child, his family relocated to the Bonner Springs area where he graduated from the Bonner Springs High School in the Class of 1961. In May of 1962, he married Sharon Kay (Johnson). Over the years, Johnny worked as a dairy farmer and truck driver and later he worked for Hylton Trucking with his brother Larry. Johnny and Sharon attended the Elm Grove Baptist Church, it was always very important to Johnny that his children knew and loved the Lord. He sure was a good man. Anyone that came to his home was welcomed and treated like family. He had awesome stories. I will always cherish the times we sat around the fire and he sang old cowboy songs. He knew every word. What a huge loss to his family and friends but what a great family that he made life long memories with. Rest In Peace Sir. I am grateful for knowing you God Bless.
