Obituary for John M. Wilson
John Murl Wilson, age 61, of Basehor, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023.
John was born on September 10, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from DeSoto High School in the class of 1980. John had worked with his father and brothers for 20-plus years in his father’s moving business. He then went on to work for Johnson County Wastewater for 27 years. John married Janet (Jones) in 1983. He was a hard worker, loving husband, and grandfather that loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs and riding his Harley.
He was preceded in death by his parents C.R. & Eula Darlene Wilson.
Survivors include his wife Janet Wilson and granddaughter Aleigha of the home, son Jesse (Amber Holst), and daughter Jayme Wilson. Brothers: Rick Wilson, Tim Wilson (Mary), Richard Wilson (Mike). Sisters: Gina Pratt (Larry), Tammy Best (Dale), Sheila Chaney. Sister-in-law: Violet Wallace and Sharon Plum (Mike), brother-in-law Richard Jones (Sharon) as well as many nieces, nephews extended family, and friends.
A Celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.
