Obituary for John C. Kobialka

John Christopher Kobialka escaped this mortal realm on Sunday,
November 28th at the age of 60. When one met John for the first time
your initial impression was how quiet he was in comparison to the
lively personalities associated with the name “Kobialka”. But to
those who took the time to know this quiet man throughout his life,
they will remember him as a prankster, smart, athletic, handsome,
bullheaded and having an infectious laugh – all dominant genes of the
family line.

Once you got to know Johnny you would be amazed at how he could talk
your ear off about EVERYTHING! One of the tales he would have shared
with you would have been the construction of “Mama’s” rock garden
(told in the same manner as one would describe the raising of the
great pyramids of Egypt). He would’ve told you of that event with
great pride. As time went forward he settled in with enjoying the
simple things of life… a cold beer and a sporting event on TV,
breakfast with a friend, games of chance at the casino, and
celebrating with family.

There were many journeys in his life-map, some were very difficult,
but many were joyous. As he got older his quiet disposition (and many
times his stubbornness) prevented one from knowing the physical pains
he was experiencing. But that was Johnny, he didn't like to make a
fuss. And now he’s not in any more pain – he’s in heaven now with
“Tatus” and “Mama”.

So when you get to heaven, look Johnny up, he'll be the one working on
Mama’s rock garden. But be sure to pull up a cloud and get
comfortable, he'll talk the wings off of you!

John is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Margarete Kobialka.
He is survived by three sisters; Fran Granzella (Daryl), Vicki Freeman
(Eric), and Theresa Buehler (Joe) and three brothers; Franz (Donna),
Steve (Julie) and Tommy, his lifelong best friend David Alvarado along
with many wonderful nieces and nephews. A special thank you to
friend/caregiver Gene Erwin.
