Obituary for John Robert Grove
John Robert Grove, 73, formerly of Kansas City Ks, died peacefully September 3rd with his wife and daughter by his side.
He was a 1966 graduate of Washington High School and a proud Marine who served in Viet Nam. He retired from Missouri Gas Energy in 2010. He had also worked at Phillips Refinery and was the owner of Grove's Retail Liquor.
He was the son of Robert Jackson Grove and Mary Edith (Harms) Grove, both deceased.
John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kaye; his son Bob Grove and wife Dawn of Blue Springs MO; his daughter Amber Burke, husband Jeff and grandson Coen John Burke of Bonner Springs KS; sister Sheree Elliott York of Mission TX and niece Morgan Elliott of Kansas City, KS.
A Celebration of John's Life will be held at the Oak Shelter of Black Hoof Park,
9053 Monticello Rd. Lenexa, KS on Monday September 20th from 4PM to 6PM
Memorials may be given to Cancer Action or the pet charity of your choice.
