Jeffry Guy Haynes, age 78, of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Sunday, Sept. 16th, 2018. Visitation will be 6-8p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20th at the First Christian Church in Bonner Springs. Funeral services will be 10am. Friday, Sept. 21st, also at the Church, burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the First Christian Church, Masonic Lodge #117 in Arkansas, Bonner Springs V.F.W. or the Kansas City Hospice House. Those can be dropped off at the visitation and service or mailed to the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.
Jeffry, the only child born to Clarence “Guy” & “Annie Lee” (Nichols) Haynes, was born on Nov. 9th, 1939 in Corpus Christie, Texas. The family moved a lot during Jeffry’s childhood, with the family following his father’s work. Jeffry proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. His career was Heavy Construction and Solid Waste Management, retiring in 2008. During his retirement he and his wife Sharon enjoyed traveling and participating in the First Christian Church activities.
Jeffry was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include, his wife Sharon of 15 years, of the home. Children; Jeffry Guy Haynes, II (Misty) of Bruno, AR., Jennifer Allen (Michael) of Olathe, KS., Jill Haynes of Overland Park, KS., Charles Emery (Christy) of Bonner Springs, KS., eight grandchildren; Jourdan, Rachael, Nick, Bailey, Anna, Jeffry III, Johnathan and Alexa. Two great-grandchildren; JR & Ariana, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
