Jeffrey Scott Nelson, 51, of Lenexa, KS passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 in his home. The Visitation will be from 4 to 5pm with the Memorial Service immediately to follow at 5pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home Family Event Center in Bonner Springs, KS.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Nelson Children fund in care of Taylor Nelson. Jeff was born on May 4, 1971 in Bismarck, ND. Jeff graduated from Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, KS in 1989. And he graduated from the University Kansas in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science. After graduating college, Jeff moved to the Chicago area where he met his wife and they had their three children. Through the years he worked in safety management in a variety of chemical plants, most recently at SPX-Marley Heating and Cooling in Olathe, KS. Jeff is survived by his three children - Taylor Nelson of Chicago, IL; Payton Nelson of Orlando, FL; and Trevor Nelson of Lenexa, KS. His wife Amy Thomas Nelson of Lenexa, KS. His parents, Ann and Harold Nelson of Lenexa, KS. Two sisters Pam Willard, and her husband Jim of Shawnee, KS and Debbie Lievens and her husband Todd, of Shawnee, KS. And his brother, Michael Nelson and his wife Jennie of Leawood, KS as well as many nieces and nephews that will miss him greatly.
