Jeanne Massing, age 88, of Basehor, KS previously of Kansas City, KS died Friday, July 27, 2018. Visitation 9:30 to 11 am, Funeral Mass 11 am, both Tuesday, July 31, at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor, KS. Burial to follow in the Highland Park Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Jeanne was born on September, 6, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri. She grew up in Wyandotte County and graduated from Saint Mary’s Academy in Leavenworth, Kansas. Jeanne married Bernard Massing on October 28, 1950 at Christ the King Catholic Church, and together they raised their family in that parish. She had worked for over 30 years at Appraisal Associates in Kansas City, Missouri. Jeanne moved to Basehor in 1989 and has been a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church, where she was active in the CWO.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Fred & Bertha Finney, her husband Bernard Massing in 1986, one grandson Christopher Massing also in 1986 and one granddaughter Erin Massing in 2005.
Survivors include her four sons; Steven Massing of Foley, AL. and formerly of Bonner Springs, KS., Doug Massing and wife Rita of Lenexa, KS., Jeff Massing of Basehor, KS., Brian Massing and wife Patricia of Wilmington, NC., seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
