Obituary for James Kenneth Chittwood

James Kenneth Chittwood, 70, of Edwardsville, KS passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his home. Visitation and Funeral services will be from 10 to 12 Noon and service at Noon on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS with committal in Leavenworth Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Legion. James was born on May 2, 1950 in Squires, MO where he grew up, and later moved to the Kansas City area after serving in the Army. He was proud to have served the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. Through the years he worked as a security guard, a police officer and a bounty hunter. He was a member of the American Legion. He greatly enjoyed Elvis and Johnnie Cash, and loved to sing karaoke. He was preceded in death by one son James Frost in 2003 a brother David Chittwood in 2010 and a sister Sue Lubbock in 2014. And is survived by two daughters Jamie Porter and her husband Jeremy of Edwardsville, KS and Angie Petre of Syracuse, UT and one son Jimmy Petre. Two brothers Bill Ingram and Gerald Ingram. Four sisters Lou Behringer, Peggy Aguilar, Patsy Morales and Bertie Richwine as well as several grandchildren.
