Jacqueline "Jackie" Ristow
Jacqueline Marie Ristow, age 68, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Monday December 13, 2021. Visitation will be 10am-Noon followed by the Graveside Funeral Service at 12:30pm in the Edwardsville Cemetery on Monday, December 20th, 2021.
Jackie was born on December 18, 1952 in Kansas City, Kansas and was one of nine children born to Wayne & Barbara Hooser. Jackie grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Bonner Springs High School in the class of 1970. In 1971 she married George “Danny” Ristow and together they made their home in Kansas City, Kansas where they raised their children. Jackie had worked as a manager for the Gambino’s Pizza in Edwardsville and later worked as a CMA at Golden Living Center also in Edwardsville. She attended the Edwardsville Christian Church. While her children were in school she kept active by being a Room Mother, involved in the PTA, and the Edwardsville Parks & Recreation. Jackie had also been a leader for the local Girl Scout Group.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-granddaughter Keamylea Hirschberg.
Survivors include her husband George “Danny” Ristow of the home, their two children Nicole Ristow and Frank Ristow both of Kansas City, Kansas, mother-in-law Dorothy Shroyer. Three grandchildren: Amy Anderson of Kansas City, KS., Erika Westphal of Shawnee, KS. and Martin Picazo of Kansas City, KS. four great-grandchildren Joseph, Jeremiah, Jordan & Juliana. Seven siblings: Vicky Hooser, Georgia Hudleson, Jody Ellis, Jamie Alexander, Wayne Hooser, Jr., Eric Hooser, Shawn Hooser, and Tony Hooser.
