Obituary for Jacqueline M. Drozinski (Bates)

Jacqueline M. Drozinski, age 72, of Tonganoxie, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

Jacqueline was born on March 28, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in Chicago with her sister Lorraine. She and John Thomas Drozinski have been together for 56 years and married for 51. Once married they moved to Southern California where they raised their two sons. While her sons were young, Jackie enjoyed showing Briard Sheep Dogs in Dog Shows and had worked for Fleetwood. John and Jackie moved to Kansas in 1990 where they raised their daughter. The couple also started their own business, the Tonganoxie Jerky Company. In Kansas, Jackie had worked for the U.S. Census Bureau for over 20 years where she was awarded a Bronze Medal from the U.S. Department of Commerce for Superior Federal Service. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas where her house was always decorated to the upmost perfection with multiple trees and decor including a Crown Royal Tree with self-made ornaments and garland. She always had a knack for finding or making the perfect gift for everyone. Holidays with Jackie were filled with joy, love and a passion for teaching family traditions and recipes to her children and grandchildren. Jackie was a ray of sunshine in this world. All that met her were drawn to her personality, loyalty and charisma. We will be having a Celebration of Life at a later date to honor all the wonderful things Jackie brought into our lives.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Lorraine Bates.

Survivors include her husband John Drozinski of the home, sons Paul Drozinski and wife Tiffany of Bermuda Dunes, CA., and Michael Drozinski of Tonganoxie, KS., daughter Erin Drozinski of Arlington, TX. Three grandchildren: Fenix, Gavin, Aubrey and two great-grandchildren Nova and West. Sister Lorraine Regan of Chicago, IL., as well as several extended family and friends.
