Jacob “Jake” Nathaniel Neu, age 22, of Bonner Springs, KS., passed away on Tues. Jan. 29, 2019. Visitation will be Noon-2pm, with the Funeral Service beginning at 2pm, both Sunday Feb. 3, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Following cremation, burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the “Jacob Neu Children’s Memorial Fund”, (to assist with expenses of his children) those can be dropped off or mailed to the funeral home.
Jacob was born on Oct. 2, 1996 in Kansas City, Kansas. He grew up and attended schools in Bonner Springs, graduating from Bonner Springs High School in 2015. During his childhood he was active in Baseball and Track. Jacob enjoyed being outdoors Fishing, Hunting and Camping. More recently he enjoyed riding his Longboard and Online Gaming. Above all, Jacob loved spending time with his younger siblings, family and friends. “He was definitely loved by all”
Jacob was preceded in death by two sisters; Brittany Cunningham and Margaret Neu.
Survivors include his mother, Jennifer (Cunningham) Bartholomew of Bonner Springs, his father Jeremiah Neu of Kansas City, KS., siblings; Jasmine Neu, Jada “Frankie” Neu, Micah Pritchett, Sarah Bartholomew, Sami Jo Bartholomew, Zakk Neu, Gloria Neu and Matthew Neu. maternal grandparents Ray & Debbie Sawyers, paternal grandmother Beth Leykamm and her husband Paul, and paternal grandfather Kelly Neu, as well as several extended family and friends.
