Obituary for Jack Lee Hartman Sr.

JACK L. HARTMAN, SR.
Jack Lee Hartman, Sr., 76, of Kansas City, KS passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Advent Health Shawnee Mission in Merriam, KS Memorial services will follow at a later date. Jack was born on May 12, 1944 in Kansas City, KS and has been a lifelong area resident. Jack graduated from Piper High School in 1962. He was Married to his wife Mary for 40 years, before her passing in 2011. Jack spent his early career in law enforcement. He was a Special Agent for the Kansas Bureau of Investigations. He also served as a Wyandotte County Deputy Sheriff. The Majority of his career 31 years was as a Bail Bondsman and Bounty Hunter for his company Hartman and Sharp Bonding Company. He spent the last part of his career driving trade cars for Zeck Ford in Leavenworth, KS. Jack enjoyed many hobbies, he and his son Jack Jr, drag raced around the country for 15 years. He loved to travel and play poker at different casinos. He was preceded in death by his parents Fritz and Eleanor Hartman, and Wife Mary of 40 years and his son Vince. He is survived by his Son Jack Hartman, Jr, His Daughter Lori Dobbins, Granddaughters Autumn and Amber Dobbins, Grandsons Kyle (Kayce), Zach, Mitch, and Riley. Burial will be at Bonner Springs Cemetery, in lieu of flowers, please Send donations to Hospice House of Kansas City, Jack and Mary Hartman’s name.
