Helen Louise Artherton Rihard, 100 years old, of Edwardsville, KS passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Parkway Care Home in Edwardsville, KS. Helen was born on June 10, 1921 in Kansas City, KS and was a long time area resident only moving to Mission, TX for 25 years after her retirement and returning to Kansas City to be back near family in 2003. Helen was a graduate of Wyandotte High School in K.C., KS and worked for many years as a bookkeeper and Office secretary. Helen was proud to have volunteered as a driver for Red Cross during WW II. She was very good at and enjoyed embroidery and other handiwork, crochet and ceramics. Many family members and friends enjoyed gifts Helen made. Helen is preceded in death by her husband Glen L. Rihard, Sr., a sister Marie Butler and a brother Kenneth Artherton. And is survived by her remaining sister Nadine Jones of Mission, KS a step son Glen L. Rihard, Jr. and his wife Cindy and a step daughter Sherri Ballard and her husband Terry all of Bonner Springs, KS as well as many nieces and nephews that will miss her greatly.
