FRED D. PINNEY
Fred Duane Pinney, 82, of Kansas City, KS formerly of Edwardsville, KS passed away on Wed., May 12, 2021. The visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm, Mon., May 17, and the Funeral will be at 2 pm on Mon., May 17, both at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. With a family committal to follow at a later date in Edwardsville Cemetery. Fred was born on Feb. 3, 1939 in Ottawa, KS and grew up in Bonner Springs and later served for 3 years in the U.S. Navy. On his return he worked as a Boiler Engineer at the Truman Medical Center for many years retiring in 2001. He liked Horse and Dog racing and enjoyed going to garage sales and Flea Markets looking for "Treasures". Fred was preceded in death a brother Max Pinney in 2016 and two sisters Colleen Pinney and Joyce Dalton. He is survived by one son Carl Brooks of Stover, MO and two sisters Karen Bresette of Kansas City, KS and Carol Adams of Overland Park, KS numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends that will miss him greatly.
