Frank W. Parker
Franklin Walter Parker, age 74, of Tonganoxie, Kansas passed away on Saturday, April 13th, 2019. Visitation will be Noon-1pm, with the Funeral at 1pm, both Friday, April 19th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
Frank W. Parker was born on July 9, 1944 in Lexington, MO., the eldest of three children born to Ruben & Elaine (Eikerman) Parker. Frank grew up in Bonner Springs and graduated from Bonner Springs High School. After Graduation he entered into the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He and Darla Faye Harrison were married on March 19, 1971 in Kansas City, KS. and together they made home in Tonganoxie, KS. Frank had a 36 year career as a Machinist with the BNSF Railroad. In his retirement he enjoyed making knives, rebuilding guns, and designing tools, he was always a craftsman. Frank enjoyed his time at the Lake of the Ozarks and especially boating in his 1968 Donzi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Rhonda & Alice, and one son William “Billy” Franklin Parker.
Survivors include his wife Darla Parker of the home, Gerry Parker of the home, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
