Obituary for Frances Irene Haynes (Boyer)

Frances Irene Haynes, 94, of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Bonner Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Friends may call at the visitation from 10 AM to 11 AM and the funeral to follow at 11 AM on Monday, April 19, at the First Christian Church in Bonner Springs Kansas with burial to follow in Bonner Springs Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial contributions to Vitas Healthcare Hospice or the First Christian Church in Bonner Springs. Frances was born October 11, 1926 in Kansas City, Kansas and was a lifelong area resident, she was a Bonner Springs High School graduate and spent many wonderful years raising her family in the Bonner Springs area. She was a long time member of the First Christian Church having served as a longtime treasurer and had also been a Sunday school teacher for over 50 years. Frances was also a member of the Friends of the Library, the Community Center Committee, the Bonner Springs Senior Citizens, The New Century Club and the Bonner Springs Garden Club. Frances was also a Girl Scout troop leader in years past and she loved to go shopping on the weekends with friends and family. She was the "leader" of the little old ladies in town often helping with their transportation and enjoying luncheons. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Jack Haynes in 2005 and is survived by two children Debbie Oelschlaeger and her husband David of Linwood, Kansas and Ernie Haynes and his wife Diana of Tonganoxie, Kansas and two grandsons Eric and Ryan
