Obituary for Floyd L. Logsdon

Floyd L. Logsdon, age 82, of Bonner Springs, KS passed into Heaven as the sun came up on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Visitation will be at Alden-Harrington funeral home in Bonner Springs, KS from 6-8 pm on Thursday, March 21st.

Floyd was born in St. Patrick, MO to Frank and Luella Logsdon on February 12, 1937. At the age of 17 he joined the United States Air Force and served our country for seven years as a hydraulic mechanic and a hydraulics instructor. After his service, Floyd worked as a welder at Southwest Steel Fabrication in Bonner Springs and retired there after 39 years of service. In 1975, Floyd married his wife Betty and together they raised their four daughters.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Luella Logsdon; his five brothers (Vince, Truman, Paul, Fred, and Carroll); and his four sisters (Dee, Freida, Sandra, and Desta). Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Betty Logsdon; his daughters Lynna DeLeon (Eddie) of Edwardsville, KS, Roberta Kloster (Kent) of Overland Park, KS, Angie Erickson (David) of Bonner Springs, KS, Dixie Budimlija (Aaron) of Shawnee, KS; and his ten grandchildren, Miguel, Nicolas, Celicia, Jonathan, Jessica, Noah, Abbey, Luke, Adam, and Drew.
He will be remembered for his humble attitude, strong work-ethic, and love he had for his family. 1 Timothy 6:6 : “But godliness with contentment is great gain,”
