Florance H. Spencer, 86, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Riverbend Post Acute Care and Rehab. Nursing Home in Kansas City, KS. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM, and Memorial Services will be at 7 PM, both on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS with burial to follow at a later date in Edwardsville Cemetery. The family suggest memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association. Florance was born April 27, 1935 in Kansas City, KS and was a lifelong area resident. Florance worked for over 20 years as a kitchen manager in the Bonner Springs school district serving in several schools. Her passions over the years were quilting and crocheting, making heirlooms for her family. Florance was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years Willard Allen Spencer, two sons Howard and Glenn, one daughter Gale and three great granddaughters Katelynn, Alyssa and Madelyn. She is survived by one son Allen Spencer and his wife Kristina of Issaquah, WA and two daughter-in-law‘s Sharon Spencer of Bonner Springs, KS and Bonnie Spencer of Carlisle, PA. One son-in-law David Umbenhower of Kansas City, KS. Nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
