Edwin Allen Gorman, Jr., 91, of Basehor, KS passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Friends may call at attend the Visitation will be from 2 to 3 PM and the Memorial Service will follow at 3 PM both on Saturday, October 29th, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kansas State University Agricultural Department. Ed was born December 11, 1930 in Wichita, KS and was raised on a farm near Toronto, KS where he also graduated from high school. Ed was a lifetime member of Kansas State University Alumni, Graduating in 1955. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and an owner of Kansas City Livestock Company where he worked up until the stockyards closed in 1991. Ed loved all sports especially those of his children and grandchildren and rarely missed a game. Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Doris Gorman in 2015. And is survived by his two sons Greg Gorman and his wife Gayle of Tonganoxie, KS and Scott Gorman and his wife Bonnie of Blue Springs, MO. Five grandchildren Ashley House and her husband Nick of Basehor KS; Alexandrea Young and her husband Lane of Tonganoxie, KS; Joseph Gorman of Overland Park, KS; Blake Gorman of Grain Valley, MO and Jacob Gorman of Blue Springs, MO and four great grandchildren Morgan, Hope, Reagan and Margaret “Dandy”
