Dorothy Ann Reiman, age 74, of rural Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 25th, 2021. A Private Graveside Committal Service will be Saturday, March 6th at the Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Dorothy was born on August 11, 1946 in DeSoto, Kansas and she was the youngest of two children born to Henry & Bertha Deaner. Dorothy grew up near Wilder and attended school in Bonner Springs & DeSoto, graduating from DeSoto High School in the Class of 1964. She married Chuck Reiman on November 10th, 1963 and together they lived in Kansas City, KS., rural Basehor and later settled at their home in rural Bonner Springs. Dorothy worked for Western Electric Telephone Company, that later became known as Lucent Technologies for over 32 years. For the last twenty years Dorothy has enjoyed quilting, making hundreds beautiful quilts for her family and friends. It was through quilting that she met several people and many wonderful friendships were made.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Michael Deaner, brother-in-law Ed Mills and by her husband Chuck Reiman. She is survived by one son Bryce Reiman and wife Cathy, two grandchildren Wyatt and Peyton all of Andover, MN. Sister-in-law Tracy Mills of Bonner Springs, KS., nephew Dom Derosa and a host of extended family and friends who helped her greatly.
