Doris L. Johnson, 78, longtime resident of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on July 13, 2020. Doris was born on February 28, 1942 in Smithville, Missouri. When she was a young girl, her parents moved to Bonner Springs, Kansas where they owned Tinder's Market, a local grocery store. She married Robert "Bob" Johnson on September 4, 1959. Doris worked for many years at Miller Pharmacy in Bonner Springs and Edwardsville, Kansas. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Robert "Bob" Johnson in 2013; her parents Guy and Rosetta Tinder; two brothers Guy Tinder, Jr and Harrell Tinder; two sisters Mary Kay Brooks and Helen Fry. Doris is survived by her children Mike Johnson (Robin Bryan) of Edwardsville, Kansas and Ron (Janice) Johnson of Bonner Springs, Kansas; brother Glen (Beverly) Tinder of Eudora, Kansas; grandchildren Chris (Sarah) Johnson of Shawnee, Kansas, Hilary (Justin) Moulin of Edwardsville, Kansas, Lindsey (Osman) Peralta of Kansas City, Kansas, Brett (Randi) Johnson of Topeka, Kansas, Tyler Johnson of Kansas City, Kansas and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or to the Bonner Animal Rescue in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. The family will have a private family visitation and private committal service at a later date where she will be laid to rest next to Bob in the Leavenworth Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas
