Donald Edwon Strickland, 91, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Tue., March 16, 2021. Graveside Funeral Service 1 pm, Monday, March 22, at the Lenape Cemetery near Bonner Springs, KS. Visitation from 11 to 1 on Monday at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. Don was born October 24, 1929 in Loring, KS. He was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Bonner Springs High School in 1948. He was honored to serve in the United States Army in the Korean War. On return, he worked for TWA at the Overhaul Base in Kansas City as a Parts Manager, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Basehor and a longtime member of the Bonner Spring Lions Club. He was well known as an avid K-State fan EMAW. Survivors include his wife of 68 years Stella Strickland of the home. One daughter Darcus Blanz and her husband Jack of Bonner Springs, KS. Two grandchildren Kyle Blanz and his wife Stephanie of Bonner Springs, KS and Mindy Eiaacson and her husband Shelby also of Bonner Springs, KS. And five great grandchildren Ashley Emma Kyle Junior colt and Skyler.
