DENNIS R. CHRONISTER
Dennis Ralph Chronister, 69, of Edwardsville, KS passed away on Wed., July 17, 2019. Graveside Memorial Services will be at 10:00 am, Thur., July 25, at the Edwardsville Cemetery in Edwardsville, KS. Dennis was born Dec. 15, 1949 in Kansas City, KS and was a Longtime area resident. He was a 1968 Bonner Springs High School graduate and had also graduated from the Kansas Technical Institute with an Associates in Civil Engineering. Over the years he worked for Black and Veatch and later for Lone Star Cement Industries and more recently Kellogg's Sunshine Biscuit Manufacturing Plant until he retired. In retirement he still worked at various Industrial Maintenance jobs at area business. He was a past member of the Edwardsville Planning and Zoning Commission and he was active with the Boy Scouts as an adult leader for several years, he enjoyed Astronomy and Canoeing. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Betty Chronister, his first wife Michelle Chronister in 2003 and his second wife Reta Chronister in 2016. He is survived by his two children Stacey Laffey (Clint Brown) of Cheney, KS and Lucas Chronister (Amy) of Mechanicsville, VA. One sister Beverly Messick of Kansas City, KS and two brothers Peter Chronister of Bonner Springs, KS and Paul Chronister of Edwardsville, KS. 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
