Obituary for Dawn Marie Waterman
On Thursday, October 1st 2020, Dawn Marie (Schumacher) Waterman, age 56, of Bonner Springs Kansas, a loving daughter, sister, aunt and, devoted mother of two, passed away surrounded by loved ones at home.
Dawn was born on March 31st 1964 in Kaukauna, WI to Bernard and Lucille (Noe) Schumacher. She attended Freedom High School where she was involved in 4H, pom and dance, choir and track and field until she graduated in 1982. She then moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she was a fitness instructor at the VicTany health club. In Phoenix she met her former husband, and later on moved to Kansas. Here in Kansas she enjoyed performing, singing and writing songs, for local nursing homes, parades, and church services. As well as serving others in the community by performing, she worked in the customer service industry for many years.
Dawn was preceded in death by her mother Lucille Schumacher. Dawn is survived by her two sons Bradley and Cody Waterman; her father Bernard Schumacher, as well as her sisters: Sheryl Nieland, Jodi Lamers, Beth Olp, and Heather Schumacher; her brother Scott Schumacher; and numerous Aunts and Uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and in-laws.
Dawn was immensely proud of her two sons, and always tried to teach them to treat other the way God intended us to. Dawn’s faith with God was unmatched throughout her life. As her health declined, she always reassured her loved ones that she was at peace, and that she had lived a full and good life.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am, Monday, October 5th 2020, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, 214 Oak Street, Bonner Springs Kansas 66012. And the Graveside Funeral Service/burial will follow at 11:30 am, Monday October 5th 2020, at Bonner Springs Cemetery, 801 Sheidley Avenue, Bonner Springs Kansas 66012.
