Obituary for Cynthia Sue "Cindy" Eberth

Cynthia Sue Eberth, 60, of Basehor, KS passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. Visitation at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 15. The memorial service at 1 p.m. will be followed by a reception next-door at the Harrington Family Event Center.

Cindy was born July 3, 1962 in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Basehor High School in 1980. She was a cheerleader, participated in the pep club, and was named Homecoming Princess. Because she grew up in the 70s, she adored watching reruns of The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family, and she was often heard humming their theme songs. Cindy’s passion for helping people propelled her work in the medical field, but her true love revolved around sports cars; one of her favorite pastimes involved cruising with her fiance in her Thunderbird. Cindy learned the joys of celebrating holidays from her mother, and she passed her fondness of festivities to her children. Although the Fourth of July and Christmas were her favorites, Cindy never missed an opportunity to decorate and celebrate with family and friends.

Cindy is predeceased by her father, William Gene Budy, and her grandparents, Albert Budy, Janice Budy, Francis Honeywell, and Ollie Honeywell. She is survived by her two children, Brandon Eberth (Alexis) and Rachel Jennings (Jacob); her two grandchildren, Cam Jennings and Rhett Jennings; her mother, Sharon Budy; her fiance, James Breuer; her siblings, Kelly Horton and Rick Budy; and many friends and family who will miss her greatly.
