Colten Jeffrey Foster, age 19, of Basehor, Kansas passed away on Monday, June 18th, 2018. A Celebration of Colten’s Life will be 5:30pm Friday, June 22nd, at the First Baptist Church of Basehor. His family has requested that you come as you are in casual dress. In lieu of flowers, the family is taking donations to help fund community awareness of depression and suicide prevention, those donations can be made to Jeff and Gina Foster and dropped off at the Service, or mailed to the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.

Colten was born on February 4, 1999 in Kansas City, Kansas. He grew up in Basehor and graduated in 2017 from Basehor-Linwood High School. Colten played soccer during his childhood and was proud to have played all four years in High School, on the Varsity Soccer Team, as a midfielder, culminating with his team going to the Kansas State Finals his senior year. He was a member of the Local Union # 226 IBEW where he was an Apprentice Electrician. Colten was known for many things including; his beautiful smile, his great hair, being thrifty and that he was a hard worker. He loved the late night trips to Taco Bell with his brother, playing basketball with his buddies, playing Fortnite online with his brothers and friends. Colten had a kind heart and enjoyed playing with his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Steve Duffey.

Survivors include his parents, Jeff and Gina Foster, of the home, two brothers Hunter Foster (and sister-in-law) Megan Wheeler, and Dominic “Dom” Foster. Paternal Grandparents, Joe & Carol Foster of Kansas City, KS., Maternal Grandmother Anita Murphy of Basehor, KS., Aunts and Uncle; Greg & Suann Foster, Trish Murphy all of Basehor. Five cousins; Dakota, McKenna, Brent, Caden and McKenzie.
