Collene Joyce Dickinson

Collene Joyce Dickinson, age 61, of Basehor, Kansas went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 28th, 2021. Visitation will be 10-11am, Funeral at 11am, both Tuesday, Nov. 2nd at the Risen Savior Lutheran Church (14700 Leavenworth Road, Basehor, KS.) Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Tonganoxie, Kansas. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Risen Savior Lutheran Church.

Collene was born on September, 30, 1960 in Winchester, Kansas and was one of four children born to James & Carolyn (Meints) Pantle. Collene grew up in Basehor and graduated from Basehor High School in the Class of 1978. For many years she worked for Wyandotte County teaching living skills to mentally disabled adults. Later she taught special education at the elementary schools in the Basehor-Linwood School District. Collene married Maurice Dickinson on December 2nd, 1995 and together they made their home in Basehor where they raised their two daughters. Collene was an active member of the Risen Savior Lutheran Church. In recent years Collene enjoyed playing Bingo and also played in a Bunko League.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother David Ray Pantle.

Survivors include her husband, Maurice Dickinson, of the home, two daughters Jennifer Stuart and husband John of Edwardsville, KS., Caroline Porth and husband David of Pleasant Hill, MO., two grandchildren Joseph and Emily. One sister Susan Detwiler and husband Jeff of Frisco, Texas, sister-in-law Carol Pantle (wife of David) of Salina, Kansas, and brother James Pantle and wife Sandy of Easton, Kansas. As well as other extended family and friends.
