Claudia Jean Beeker (Mims)
Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away on December 26, 2019 at 82 years old. She is survived by her four children. Daughters Rebecca Beeker of Lee's Summit Missouri, Melody Beeker of Stover Missouri, Shari Gilliam of Harrisonville Missouri and son Charles Beeker of New Virginia Iowa. She is survived by nine grandchildren. Josh, Jon, Blake, Veda, Aria, Trent, Brandi, Krissa and Charlie. And also two great grandchildren, Alex and Bentley.
She was born in Fort Worth Texas in 1937. She has lived in Bonner Springs Kansas for the past 20 years. She went to Southwest High School in Kansas City Missouri, graduating in 1955. Then she attended college for two years. Claudia began her career with USCIS (United States Custom and Immigration Services) with the Department of Homeland Security in October of 1982. She was there for 37 years. Prior to that she worked as an administrator for Boyle and Wilson architects in Overland Park Kansas for 20 years.
Claudia was very patriotic and loved her country. She also enjoyed being outdoors in nature. It always brought her a great sense of peace. She was a truly amazing woman who will be greatly missed.
I lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to your local animal shelter in her name. Celebration of Life Service will be at 1 pm, on Sat., Jan. 11, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS.
