Obituary for Charles Lee "Chuck" Wagner

Charles “Chuck” Lee Wagner, age 83, of Bonner Springs, Kansas and previously of Shawnee, Kansas passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at home. Graveside Committal Services will be 10am Monday, August 9th at the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Chuck was born on December 23, 1937 at his family’s home in Bigelow, Kansas. He was one of five children born to Matt & Marie (Adams) Wagner. He graduated from Frankfort High School and following graduation he joined the U.S. Navy proudly serving 8 years. Upon his return he began driving a truck and he was with Consolidated Freight from 1968 to 1998. In his retirement he enjoyed buying and selling Antiques and going to the Lake of the Ozarks with his family.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, two of his siblings; Mildred Esser and Harold Wagner.
Survivors include his longtime partner Sharon Stephens of the home. Two brothers; Jim Wagner of Milwaukee, WI., Bob Wagner and his wife Alice of Paxico, KS. Daughter Kim McGrath and her two sons Luke & Erik, and extended family: Shari Demato of Edwardsville, KS., Tedlana & Todd Sawalich of Bonner Springs, KS., Todd & Karen Stephens also of Bonner Springs, KS. eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
