Charlene Rae (Crawford) Smyly, age 75, passed away Sunday, November 14th, 2021 at Tiffany Springs Senior Living Community in Kansas City, Missouri. Charlene grew up in Carmen, Oklahoma. She married and raised her family in Enid, Oklahoma where she began her lifelong career in banking. Charlene and her husband, Gary, later moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she finally retired as Vice President of Treasury Sales at US Bank. Charlene was a sweet and caring person whose joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph “Ike” and LaVerne (Moser) Crawford and her husband, Gary Smyly. She leaves behind her two sons and their families. Chris and Channon Smyly of Stewartsville, NJ, grandchildren; Devon Smyly, Taylor (Donald) Romero and Noah Smyly. Todd and Stacey Smyly of Bonner Springs, KS, grandchildren; Hailey Smyly and Emmie Smyly, as well as many other friends and relatives. Our much loved mother, friend and “Grammy” will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, 214 Oak Street, Bonner Springs, KS on November 22nd, 2021, 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery (IOOF100), 1206 Waverly Street, Ponca City, OK at 1 pm, Sat., November 27th, 2021.
