Cathy Ann Bowen, 62, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Celebration of life services will be Saturday, September 23 from 1 to 5 PM at the Wyandotte County Lake - Shelter House number one. Cathy was born February 24, 1961 in Leavenworth, KS and grew up in the Bonner Springs area. In her youth she was a member of and enjoyed 4-H. Cathy graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1979. She worked 32 years at UPS in Lenexa, KS retiring in 2020 as a sorter. Cathy was a second mom to many of her children’s friends and young wrestlers. She loved watching football and cooking for everyone and was known for her specialty of lasagna. Cathy is survived by her husband of 43 years Jim Bowen of the home; one son Buddy Bowen of Basehor, KS; one daughter Amber Bowen of Kansas City, KS. One brother Freddy Goble of Texas and one sister Roberta McCulley of Kansas City KS and two grandchildren Nova and James.
