Obituary for Carolyn Novich
Carolyn Fern Novich, age 72, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 after a brief illness. Visitation will be 11am-1pm Wednesday, Feb. 24th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home (Due to Covid-19 restrictions, facemasks and social distancing are required). Graveside Committal Service will follow at 2pm in the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery (38th & State Ave., Kansas City, KS.)
Carolyn was born on September 23, 1948 in Kansas City, KS and was raised in Muncie, KS. She was the sixth of seven children born to Harry and Hazel (Aldridge) Gerster. Carolyn had worked as the Head Cook in the Shawnee Mission East High School for many years. In her pastime she enjoyed doing puzzles and crosswords.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, one sister Beverly Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Dale P. Novich of the home, two sons: Roy Lee Novich and fiancée JoAnn Wilson of Kansas City, KS., Jimmy Dale Novich and wife Laura of Kansas City, MO., four grandchildren : Ashleigh, Elizabeth, Katelyn and James. Two step great- grandchildren Isabella and Jessica.
