Obituary for Carol L. Dungans
Carol LaVonne Dungans, age 59, of Linwood, Kansas went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 13, 2023. To celebrate her life, her family will be having a Memorial Gathering from 6 to 8pm, Tuesday, March 21st at the Harrington Family Event Center, 218 Oak St. Bonner Springs, KS. (next door to the funeral home) Memorial Contributions can be made to the Lawrence Humane Society.
Carol was born on July 2nd, 1963 in Kansas City, Kansas. She grew up in Bonner Springs and graduated from Bonner Springs High School in the class of 1981. Carol married Philip Dungans on July 4, 1981, in Shawnee, Kansas and together they made their home in Edwardsville and Bonner Springs before settling in Linwood where they raised their two children. Over the years she had worked at the JCPenney Warehouse and most recently at Regal Art & Gift Warehouse in Olathe, a job that she thoroughly enjoyed. Carol was a lover of all animals and especially her dogs. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Barbara Annette Gordon.
Survivors include her husband Phil Dungans of the home, two children: Jeremy Dungans of Linwood, KS, and Holly Dungans of Bonner Springs, five-grandchildren: Kaylee, Jeremy Jr., Jesse, Kyndra, and Lily. She is also survived by two sisters and her beloved dog “Pepper” and grand-dog “Zoe”.
