Obituary for Bruno Jastrab

BRUNO JASTRAB
Bruno Jastrab, 73, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Tue., Aug. 20, at his home. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am and Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am on Fri., Aug. 23, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church 5501 Monticello Rd, Shawnee, KS 66226 with burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. Bruno was born on Nov. 23, 1945 in Poland and immigrated to the U.S. in 1965 to Brooklyn, NY where he met and married his wife Sophie. Bruno worked for Standard Motor Products as a Machinist and transferred to this area in 1980 and worked at the Standard Motor Products Plant in Edwardsville, KS until 1987 when he went to work for May Tool in Kansas City, MO. He was very involved in Youth Soccer and loved fishing and was usually the first one on opening day of Trout Season at Wyandotte County Lake. He loved America with all his heart. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Sophie Jastrab of the home. Three children Margaret Moore of Bonner Springs, KS; Victor Hawkins of Overland Park, KS and Nicholas Hawkins (Kelly) of Bonner Springs, KS. Two Sisters Wanda Fisher of St. Petersburg, FL and Nina Latosz of Poland. Nine grandchildren Shawna, Logan, Lucas, Crystal, Carrah, Wolfgang, Wilhelm, Andrew and Joseph. And three great grandchildren Jacob, Lauren and Heather as well as many friends and family that will miss him greatly.
