Obituary for Brenda Lynn Packard-Demby

Brenda Lynn Packard-Demby, age 68, a longtime resident of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Monday, February 5th, 2024. Visitation will be 10-11 am Friday, February 16th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home followed by the Graveside Funeral Service at 11:30 am at the Bonner Springs Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Olathe Hospice House.

Brenda was born on June 15th, 1955 in Kansas City, KS, and was the oldest of two children born to Tom & Margi (Hedden) Everley. Her early childhood was spent in the town of Linwood until her parents bought a farm just outside of town. Brenda went on to graduate from Linwood High School. For many years she had worked at Sprint and later T-Mobil. Since 2007 she has worked at Maximus Federal Services in Lawrence, KS. Brenda loved to play Bingo and Gamble, lay out in the Sun, and go to lunch with two of her classmates, Kathy & Retta.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Dale W. Packard in 2016.

Survivors include her husband Ulysses Demby of the home, her three children: son John Packard of Basehor, KS., daughter Robin Packard, son Cory Packard both of Bonner Springs, four grandchildren: Jackson, Zoie, Jeremy, and Jessie. Her parents Tom & Margi Everley of Bonner Springs, KS., brother Rick Everley, and wife Kim of McLouth, KS. As well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
