Obituary for Boyd Cooper Knight

Boyd Cooper Knight, age 16, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 as the result of an automobile accident. Visitation will be 5pm to 7pm Friday, April 9th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with a celebration of his life to begin at 7pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests Memorial Contributions to the Boyd Knight Memorial Fund in care of the Piper Educational Foundation. (checks made payable to Piper Educational Foundation; include Boyd Knight Memorial Scholarship Fund on the memo line).

Boyd was born on November 1st, 2004 in Merriam, Kansas as is the youngest of two sons born to Jeff & Megan Knight. Boyd was raised in Kansas City, Kansas and attended Piper Schools, presently he was a Sophomore at Piper High School. Boyd loved all sports, especially Basketball and his favorite NBA Team, the Oklahoma City Thunder. He enjoyed playing PlayStation and FaceTime with his friends.

He excelled in his Honors Math and Science classes. He was planning to attend KCKCC in the fall for Electrical Technology and pursue a career as an Electrician upon graduating high school.

He never knew a stranger. His kind soul and compassionate heart touched every life he crossed paths with. He always put others and their feelings first. He was patient and kind. He was a best friend to many. He loved with his entire heart and enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend, Alana. He was a true romantic and always planned special evenings and thoughtful gifts for their anniversaries, her birthday and the holidays.

He was the perfect child, from the day he was born. His family and friends were extremely blessed to have sixteen wonderful years with him. Even at this young age, he knew what he wanted to do with his life and was planning a beautiful future for himself.

Survivors include his parents Jeff & Megan Knight of the home, one brother Davis Oliver, paternal grandparents Jim & Ola Knight, maternal grandparents Cheryl & Tom Loftiss all of Kansas City, KS., paternal great-grandmother Dean Hooper of Wichita, Kansas, and his girlfriend Alana Crone of Kansas City, KS.
