Obituary for Bobby Jack Walker

Bobby Jack Walker, age 93, of Texas and previously of Linwood, Kansas passed away on July 13, 2021. Visitation will be 10-11am at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home followed by a Graveside Funeral Service at 11:30am in the Bonner Springs Cemetery, both on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
Bobby Jack Walker was born on March 28, 1928 in Bonner Springs, Kansas to Robert John & Isabelle Ana (Miller) Walker. He retired from the Sheet Metal Worker Union, Local #2 in 1986 after a 32 year career. In his retirement he spent most of his time working on his farm, fishing when he could and spending time with his family. Bobby Jack had been a member of the IOOF #357, Rebekah Lodge #660 both in Bonner Springs and since 1953 he had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Linwood . In recent years he spent most of his time in Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Carl Roberts, sisters; Emma Lingo and Mildred Trobaugh, his first wife of 43 years Helen Marie (Crabtree) Walker and three infant sons and brother-in-law Jim Reed.
Survivors include his sister Patsy Ann Reed, one daughter Emma Nelson and husband Jim, one son Robert Walker and wife Melissa, one nephew who he helped raise Ted Reed and wife Linda, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is also survived by a good friend Trudy Riddle, who took care of him in his final years.
