Blanch Ellen Lowe, 93, of Basehor, KS passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, KS. The family will receive friends at the visitation from 10 to 11 am and the Funeral will be at 11 am, on Mon., Nov. 16, at the Elm Grove Baptist Church near Bonner Springs, KS with burial to follow in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Elm Grove Baptist Church Building Fund in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.
Blanch was born on March 5, 1927 in Menlo, KS and grew up and went to school in Lane, KS. She married Raymond Lowe in 1947 and then moved to Tonganoxie, KS and later moved to Basehor, KS in 1959, she then moved in 2004 to Oskaloosa, KS until last year when she moved back to the Basehor area to be near family. She worked for the American Can Company in North Kansas City, MO for 21 years and after her retirement she then worked for Basehor Elementary School in the Cafeteria for several years. She was a longtime member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church. She loved to travel, shop and take LOTS of pictures, but loved her grandkids more than anything.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Raymond Lowe in 2014. And is survived by her two children Donald Lowe and his wife Deborah of Oskaloosa, KS and Sandra Trowbridge and her husband Jim of Tonganoxie, KS. One sister Wanda Lynch and three brothers Bud, Ray and Ralph Taylor. Six Grandchildren Tracy, Kim, Terri, Todd, Christy and Brad. And seventeen great grandchildren.
