Obituary for Beverly Colleen Willis

Beverly Colleen Willis, age 82, of Leavenworth and prev. of Bonner Springs, KS., died Sat. Feb. 16, 2019. Visitation 10-11am, Funeral 11am, both Sat. Feb. 23rd at the Victory Assembly of God Church on Bonner Springs. Burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses. Beverly Colleen was the second of six children born to Earl & Lucille (Roberts) Johnson. She was born on June 27, 1936 in Bethany, Missouri and grew up in Reserve & Fairview, Kansas and graduated from Fairview High School. Beverly had worked at the Fort Leavenworth Dining Facility "DFAC", Medical Lodge in Leavenworth, Beverly Enterprises Nursing Homes in Bonner Springs & Lansing and retired from Providence Place Nursing Home in Kansas City, KS. She was a member of the Victory Assembly of God Church in Bonner Springs. Her pastimes included doing crosswords, puzzle books, coloring books, embroidery, watching All Star Wrestling, fishing and watching her grandchildren racing cars. Beverly was proud to see her grandchildren graduate. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tommy Willis, Son Dennis Wagner, brother Earl Dewayne Johnson and sister Betty Powell. Survivors include five children; Linda Wagner, David Wagner, Carl Wagner, Cindy Englehart all of Leavenworth, KS., Brian Wagner and wife Patsy of Bonner Springs. Brother Larry Johnson of Leavenworth, sister Nancy Everhart of Mississippi, sister Peggy Dearinger of Leavenworth, brother Robert Johnson and wife Trudy of Independence, MO., 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, her longtime friend Shirley Hanrahan, her beloved puppy "Sugarbear" as well as several extended family and friends.
