Betty J. Samuels


Betty Jean Campbell Samuels, 92, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at Tonganoxie Nursing Center in Tonganoxie, KS. Visitation will be held Friday, November 23, from 5–7 pm at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 24, at the funeral home with burial at Bonner Springs Cemetery.

Betty was born on September 22, 1926 to William and Veda Campbell in Madison, KS. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Richard Paul Samuels, her mother, father, four sisters and three brothers.

Betty is survived by sons Steven Samuels (Melody) from Kansas City, KS, Ron Samuels (Pam) from Troup, TX, Gene Samuels (Merri) from Tonganoxie, KS, and daughter Paula Samuels Carrigan (Charlie) from Gulfport, MS. Betty is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at Tonganoxie Nursing Center and the hospice team at Vitas Healthcare Hospice, especially Jennifer Plumberg, for their compassionate and loving care given to Betty while she was at the nursing home.
