Obituary for Ashley Lauren Webb

Ashley L. Webb (Rafols), 41, of Basehor, KS, passed away on March 29, 2024.
Ashley grew up in Kansas City, KS, and moved to Basehor, KS, in 2000 where she graduated from Basehor-Linwood High School. She spent many years as a stay-at-home mom before working various jobs serving the community, such as an elementary school para and a school bus driver. Her passion for animals led her to her most recent job as the Basehor Animal Control Officer.

She would frequently be seen driving around town in her Jeep or work truck with a smile on her face and most likely some sort of animal she was helping, whether it was a tiny squirrel, lost dog, or injured owl. Ashley loved all things pink and sparkly, butterflies, sunflowers, shopping with her kids, driving her Jeep, and spending time with family. She is preceded in death by her “Grampy” Loren Webster, Grandpa Danny Rafols, Uncle David Webster, and Uncle Dwayne Rafols.

Survivors include her two daughters, Bailey and Aubrey Webb; her son, Brayden Webb; her parents, Gary and Christina Rafols; her sister, Lindsay (Michael) Garcia; her nephew Brody and niece Addison; her “Grammy” Sandy Webster; her Grandma Jane Pierce; her best four-legged friends, Sophie and Star; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues.

A Celebration of Life for Ashley will be held on April 13, 2024, from 2-4 pm at Basehor United Methodist Church at 18660 158th St. in Basehor, KS 66007. This is a casual come-and-go event. Feel free to wear pink or something sparkly to honor Ashley.

Ashley’s family would like to thank the community for all the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leavenworth County Humane Society or Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society.

Ashley was a friend to all manner of creatures, great and small. May her kind spirit and love for others continue to inspire us all.
